Data is Invalid errors pertain to insufficient registry key priviledges.
W2K, unlike Win9x, enforces registry security. This is usually caused by
trying to install a driver without administrative priviledges (a definite
no-no in W2K) or by an installation script that is improperly written by
hardware manufacturer.
