Subject: when will gdb support variable- length arrays (VLA) for fortran or C99
when i debug fortran program with gdb which compiled by gfortran,it is
so painful.
i have to use idb to debug it.
but photran can't use idb will well.
I just want to debug fortran program and modify the program just like
C/C++ program

Regarding the VLA support: I have no idea when it will happen.
However, you could use gdb with Red Hat's patches, which support VLA/
Fortran 90 array descriptors. Such a gdb ships with Fedora 11 or with
openSUSE Factory. You can also use  git  to get it from
http://sourceware.org/git/?p=archer.git;a=heads (archer-jankratochvil-
fedora-merge or -vla branches).
