How early are teams planning on heading to Boulder for Champies? It seems like a really big advantage for Mamabird, even more than just a regular home team. I remember when the Big 12 cross country championships were in Boulder and the Buffaloes ended up winning with 17 points which, if you know cross country, is ridiculous. What are teams doing to prepare?

17 points really isn't that big of a win in a cross country meet, certainly not ridiculous. I would say most big meets that are within 10 points would be close races. However I don't know the history of the results in the Big 12 conference..

Read John F.'s post closer. It says "...with 17 points...' The best possible score is 15 points. To score 17 points, your 5th man can't be worse than 7th overall. Chris O.

You are on crack.
17 points mean you placed the #1, #2, and #3 finishers, along with either the 5th and 6th or 4th and 7th placed runners. That's total domination.
Considering the lowest (and best) possible score is 15... That's like saying "a 15-1 win in regional finals isn't that big of a win".

Beat a dead horse???
And about training low and living high or whatever they said in blog... Anthony Gonzalez, when he played football for Ohio State, would sleep in a hyperbaric chamber at night as did Lance Armstrong at least near the end of his dominance... That is one way to train low and live high http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/buckeye-alumni/8738-wr-anthony-gon...
